In observance of Thanksgiving, all Clear Creek County Library branches will be closed Thursday, November 28 – Saturday, November 30.

Celebrate the holidays at the library!

The holiday season is upon us, and it’s a wonderful time to experience Clear Creek County festivities. The Clear Creek County Library District has a number of events and activities happening this month, so stop by to celebrate the season with us!

Santa’s Workshops

Santa loves the Georgetown Christmas Market so much that he visits all four days! He will be at the John Tomay Memorial Library between 11 am and 1 pm on December 7, 8, 14, and 15, and his helpers will be there to make crafts with you.

Local History Archives – Open Additional Days

The Local History Archives will be open all four days of the Georgetown Christmas Market (December 7, 8, 14, and 15) from 10 am to 4 pm. Explore photographs, historic maps, and artifacts relating to Clear Creek County’s fascinating history. The John Tomay Memorial Library will also be open on Sundays during the Market from 10 am to 5 pm.

Adult Craft Nights

If you don’t have a holiday wreath already, now’s your chance to create your own custom design! Sign up for the Idaho Springs event on December 9 or the Georgetown event on December 12 by emailing holly@cccld.org or calling 303-567-2020. A big thank you to Home Depot in Evergreen for donating live greenery.

Gift Wrapping Stations

Gift wrapping can be a stressful part of the holidays, so we are offering free wrapping supplies and space to wrap at both the Georgetown and Idaho Springs libraries. Stop in anytime the libraries are open now through December 27.

Donate to Local Families

The Clear Creek County Library District partners with the Clear Creek Advocates to help families in need during the holidays. Pick up an ornament with a gift request at either library and return it, unwrapped, by December 13. These gifts will be made available to local families at the Advocates’ Santa Shop.
